Day 2 - Operators, Imagination World & A Bit of DSA

Only Operators Done Today 😅

The plan was to complete operators and then move to conditions, but the electricity kept going on and off. There were so many interruptions, but somehow, we managed to finish operators. No time was left for conditions, so we decided to discuss something fun and engaging instead.

Created a Whole New Imagination World 🔥

We imagined a scenario where we were the president of an island that is actually a continent, but the world refuses to accept it. Because of this, Google also doesn't show us on its maps. Our task was to design our own map, just like Google Maps.

At first, no one had any idea how to do it, but then I gave a hint that first, we need a detailed image of the island with proper roads, streets, and shops. Slowly, everyone started understanding how mapping works. It turned out to be a great brainstorming session!

A Small Introduction to DSA 🧠

We discussed one of Google's algorithms that helps find the best route from one place to another. We even found out its name and got a general idea of how it works (not in too much depth). Along with that, we talked about how Google knows where an accident has happened or where traffic is high, and how real-time updates work. These things seem small but actually involve huge systems and algorithms working in the background.

Network, Internet, Cloud - How Do These Actually Work? ☁️

After that, we had a little discussion about how the internet works, the basic structure of networks, and what cloud computing really is. At first, these concepts seemed a bit confusing, but then we realized that "cloud" is not actually made of clouds 😂.

A Bit of Distraction Too 🎥

Today, a person from the PP team was recording videos on campus. He was roaming around the classrooms, capturing footage. It was a bit distracting, but we still managed to complete our discussion and learned a lot.

The day didn't go as per the expected plan, but still, it was a unique and engaging learning session! 🚀
